Docor was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Van Leer Group Foundation to promote and participate in commercial activities in Israel. Currently, these activities include partnerships in two Israeli venture capital companies, Inventech and Gemini, and direct investments in twelve companies. Docor’s vision is to be a socially responsible investor. Docor has two main objectives: (1) to contribute to the welfare of the Israeli economy and society by investing in companies that have activities in Israel or are based on high technology developed in Israel, and (2) to create worldwide added-value by investing in globally oriented companies that have innovative technologies targeted at growing markets and the needs of future industries. Docor’s strategy is to become actively involved in the management of the companies in which it invests. While investing in young companies with post-seed technology that is nearly proven, Docor provides an international business network and leverages investments. While staying involved with the companies through their initial stages of growth, Docor provides skilled management support and models professional business conduct.

Van Leer Ventures Jerusalem is one of Israel's leading early stage investment centers. VLVJ looks for leading entrepreneurs with innovative technology addressing large and fast growing markets.

The Center was established in 1992 by a consortium of notable sponsors, such as Intel, Teva Pharmaceuticals, AVX, Motorola and the Jerusalem Development Authority. Today much of the Center's activities are supported by its investors, Docor International BV, an industrial investment fund and The Jerusalem Development Authority, a joint government/municipal corporation.

Mr. Kramer is the co-founder, CEO, and President of Imperva. In 2006, Mr. Kramer was selected by Network World magazine as one of 20 luminaries who changed the network industry. Prior to founding Imperva in 2002, Mr. Kramer was a co-founder of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. Mr. Kramer served in various executive roles for Check Point through 1998 and as a member of the board of directors of Check Point from the time of the Company's inception until 2003.

A pioneer in the Internet security market, while at Check Point, Mr. Kramer played a key role in defining and creating several category-defining products and solutions, including FireWall-1, VPN-1, FloodGate-1, Check Point's OPSEC alliance and Check Point's security appliance program. After leaving Check Point, Mr. Kramer participated as an early investor and board member in security and enterprise software companies such as Business Layers, ForeScout Technologies, and Digital Fuel. Mr. Kramer received a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as well as a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
